The MPQ7920 is a complete power management solution that integrates four high-efficiency step-down DC/DC converters, five low-dropout regulators, and a flexible logic interface. Constant-on-time (COT) control in the DC/DC converter provides fast transient response. The adjustable switching frequency (up to 2.75MHz) during continuous conduction mode (CCM) greatly reduces the external inductor and capacitor values. Full protection features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown. The output voltage is adjustable through the I2C bus or preset by the multiple-time programmable (MTP) memory. The on/off sequence can be configured via the MTP or controlled through the I2C bus online. The MPQ7920 requires a minimal number of external components, and it is available in a space-saving QFN-26 (3.5mmx4.5mm) package with wettable flanks. This part is AEC-Q100 qualified.
