The wide 4.5V to 45V input voltage (VIN) range accommodates a variety of step-down applications, and the 1μA quiescent current (IQ) in shutdown mode allows the device to be used in battery-powered applications. The MP2460 uses high duty cycle and low-dropout (LDO) mode for low VIN conditions. The MP2460 has built-in protection features, such as cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection (SCP) with hiccup mode, and thermal shutdown. The MP2460 is available in a cost-effective TSOT23-6 package.
