TheUSB5807Cversion contains the latest silicon. All new USB5807 designs should move to this newer "C" version.
Microchip’s USB5807 SmartHub is a 7 port, SuperSpeed (SS), low power, configurable USB3.1 Gen1 hub and fully compliant with USB-IF's USB 3.1 Gen1 specification (TID330000064). The USB5807 also supports Hi-Speed (HS), Full Speed (FS) and Low Speed (LS) USB signaling, offering complete coverage of all defined USB operating speeds. The new SuperSpeed hubs operate in parallel with the USB 2.0 controller, so 5 Gbps SuperSpeed data transfers are not affected by slower USB 2.0 traffic.
The USB5807 is also a SmartHub which is defined as a USB hub that integrates system levels functions typically associated with a separate MCU or processor. The USB5807 SmartHub enables a downstream device to take control of the host system by swapping roles and becoming the host port. The SmartHub can also switch between two different hosts if required. This role changing technology is called FlexConnect and can be initiated through hardware or software commands.
The hub also can expand beyond seven ports through PortSplitting which allows for embedded applications to only use the interface needed for internal, non-removable USB connections.
MPLAB® Connect Configurator, Microchip’s proprietary software utility, can be used to program On-chip One Time Programmable (OTP) ROM which stores required register settings to ensure the desired start up configuration at power on. All LED, GPIOs and port control signal pins are under firmware control, allowing for maximum operational flexibility. However, for even more simplicity, the USB5807 can be configured through a series of external low-cost resistor bootstraps. A handful of bootstrap pins are available on the USB5807 to enable standard configurations for GPIOs and downstream ports. No OTP programming required.
Microchip's complimentary and confidential MicroCHECK design review service, which offers insight from the initial concept to the final PCB layout, is available to customers who are using our products in their projects. You can confidently submit your design materials in a secure and private setting, and our expert engineers will provide individualized feedback to enhance your design. MicroCHECK design review service is subject to Microchip's Program Terms and Conditions and requires a myMicrochip account.
YG GROUP (YUGUANG INTERNATIONAL(HK)CO.,LTD) supports reliable sourcing through quality controls and compliance documentation. Please confirm product requirements, applicable certifications and supporting documents before ordering.
USB5807 is an authentic electronic component manufactured by Microchip, categorized under Interface ICs. It is supplied in the standard manufacturer-specified package footprint, providing industry-standard mechanical dimensions and terminal configurations for board-level assembly. Full pinout configurations, physical footprint drawings, and rated operating tolerances are documented in the official USB5807 datasheet above.
Electronic component spot-market pricing for USB5807 fluctuates based on real-time global availability, production date codes, minimum order quantities (MOQ), and packaging formats (e.g., Reel, Tube, Tray). Using an RFQ ensures you receive accurate, real-time volume pricing tied to verified, traceable inventory rather than stale catalog estimates.
Lead times for USB5807 depend on whether stock is dispatched from our central hub or regional franchise partners. Ready-to-ship inventory typically leaves the warehouse within 1–3 business days following quality inspection, while factory-direct or back-ordered allocations are confirmed with an estimated ship date upon RFQ reply.
