The MAX5550 dual, 10-bit, digital-to-analog converter (DAC) features high-output-current capability. The MAX5550 sources up to 30mA per DAC, making it ideal for PIN diode biasing applications. Outputs can also be paralleled for high-current applications (up to 60mA typ). Operating from a single +2.7V to +5.25V supply, the MAX5550 typically consumes 1.5mA per DAC in normal operation and less than 1µA (max) in shutdown mode. The MAX5550 also features low output leakage current in shutdown mode (±1µA max) that is essential to ensure that the external PIN diodes are off.Additional features include an integrated +1.25V bandgap reference, and a control amplifier to ensure high accuracy and low-noise performance. A separate reference input (REFIN) allows for the use of an external reference source, such as the MAX6126, for improved gain accuracy. A pin-selectable I²C-/SPI™-compatible serial interface provides optimum flexibility for the MAX5550. The maximum programmable output current value is set using software and an adjustment resistor.
The MAX5550 is available in a (3mm × 3mm) 16-pin thin QFN package, and is specified over the extended (-40°C to +85°C) temperature range.
YG GROUP supports reliable sourcing through quality controls and compliance documentation. Please confirm product requirements, applicable certifications and supporting documents before ordering.
MAX5550 is an authentic electronic component manufactured by Analog Devices, categorized under Data Converter ICs. It is supplied in the standard manufacturer-specified package footprint, providing industry-standard mechanical dimensions and terminal configurations for board-level assembly. Full pinout configurations, physical footprint drawings, and rated operating tolerances are documented in the official MAX5550 datasheet above.
Electronic component spot-market pricing for MAX5550 fluctuates based on real-time global availability, production date codes, minimum order quantities (MOQ), and packaging formats (e.g., Reel, Tube, Tray). Using an RFQ ensures you receive accurate, real-time volume pricing tied to verified, traceable inventory rather than stale catalog estimates.
Lead times for MAX5550 depend on whether stock is dispatched from our central hub or regional franchise partners. Ready-to-ship inventory typically leaves the warehouse within 1–3 business days following quality inspection, while factory-direct or back-ordered allocations are confirmed with an estimated ship date upon RFQ reply.
